Chantel: Moving On With Marriage

We finally moved back into our house!! It's been a total of 6 months since our house caught fire. It was a nightmare in the beginning! But waiting that long has been so worth it. Our house looks incredible; better than before! We feel like we're finally starting to settle down. When we were living in the trailer it kind of felt like our lives were on hold; only because we weren't doing the normal married thing. We couldn't make our own dinner our do laundry in our own home. Being back in our house makes us appreciate the things we have so much more!

Jacob and I both work full time. We do have health insurance (for the person who asked) and we own the home we live in! Not too many young couples can say that…especially if you live in California.

We just bought another puppy. Her name is Jill and we get her in about two weeks! So far we can't complain. God has been faithful and provided for us with all of our needs. We're incredibly happy and excited to see what God has in store for us in the future!

How did your house catch fire?

You two were my favorite couple because you remind me a lot of my fiance and I. We met in th 7th grade, are both 22, and are getting married in August. You two love each other a lot. That is obvious. It seems like a lot of kids that leave comments are nervous and not confident in their decisions to get married. They should wait. I never doubted for a second, from what I saw, that you two just knew. So did I. Congradulations to the two of you. I know about the house thing. Daniel and I were pushed into getting a house before we got married because my parents moved to Florida, I live in Tennessee (going to school here), and his mom hates me. So we have a house two dogs and two cats. Do you have a myspace page? Oh.. and are you planning on babies? Good luck in the future. God Bless.

Hi!

They literally just showed your episode here in Australia and I wanted to wish you both the best! You looked beautiful and I have nothing but good wishes for you both. My parents were young when they married and they are coming up closer to 30 years!

Chantel, i want you to know that you are def. not alone! My name is Danielle- I am 18, and engaged. My mom accepts it, but doesnt expect me to get married until i get through college. As for my dad, its a different story, he's soo against it. And my fiance, he is serving our country in the Air force, i have gone 6 weeks now without seeing him and its just horrible. I would like to have our wedding August 10, 2007. It makes me feel alot better knowing that there are other couples going through or have gone through something im about to experience. Watching your episode helped me realize to go for something you really want and dont worry about what other people think.

Chantal and Jacob im so impressed that you guys are so young (both of you are around my age- 20) and you own your own home. I live in northern california and its just impossible to get a good apartment with a full time job. Im lucky enough that im going to college next year so I dont have to worry as much but one of my brothers is trying to move out and just cant find a good place with a decent price!
so congradulations on moving in and God bless you both!

Chantel, I watched the show and was very honored by your faith in the Lord. It is so encouraging to see a young couple (as I am still young and am soon to be married) seeking God and keeping Him as the center of your marriage. Especially in the kind of world we live in today. I wish you two the best and hope that you continue to grow closer together through Christ! God Bless!

Congratualations. My husband I married young at 21 and 20. We had our baby girl 3 months later. We were previously engaged before I got pregnant though. I wish all the best for you. I know it can be hard sometimes but stick through it!
