Highlights from Chantel and Jacob

Hey guys, it's Chantel and Jacob!

We just had our first Easter as a married couple and it was great. We went to breakfast with my family then we went and had lunch with his. We have hot water in our house!!! That has been the highlight of my week so far. We went about two weeks without it and it made us grateful to live in the country that we do!

Yes we do have a myspace, we've had one for a long time now. It's www.myspace.com/soguttersoghettosohood. We've been getting a lot of positive feed back from everyone and it's been amazing! We just want to thank everyone for their loving and encouraging comments. It's comforting to know that there are couples out there like us, and that we can help others in similar situations.

Chantel- I'm currently not driving due to a medical condition that happened about a month and a half ago. I get my license back in another month and a half, which I'm excited for. It's been such an incredible blessing, because I walk to work every morning. It takes me about ten minutes to get there because I work right down the street from where I live. I've been able to take in the world and enjoy God's creation. It's been amazing the things I've been enjoying while walking. I think driving doesn't really allow you to enjoy the sky or the trees or the sun. Our earth is filled with such beauty and it's amazing to see it all!

I am fine medically. I honestly feel it was a one time thing, so no need to worry!

Jacob- I'm still working, trying to fix up our house. We still have a lot to do, but everything is coming together perfectly. We're enjoying life and enjoying each other. I just put in a pond out in our little yard. Putting the house together has been exhausting, but over all it's been worth it. I'm able to give my wife and myself an amazing home!

Thanks for the support, and keep checking back with us!

Hi Chantel and Jacob,

First, I just want to tell you and Jacob to always put GOD first in your marriage. And to always pray, read the Bible. Because when everything else fails, your relationship with GOD will keep your marriage strong. Secondly, I wanted to know how long has it been since you and Jacob got married?

Just wanted to say to all who take part in this show that you honestly are never too young to find true love. I have been married to the love of my life since I was 16. Marriage can still last today even when it seems like everyone you know is getting divorced. It's up to each and every one of you to decide that you will NOT give up. True love conquers all and never quits. I wish you all the best of luck and happiness. Just remember that it is the hard times that should bring you closer together, not farther apart. God allows us to go through the trials and tribulations of life so we can grow and become closer to Him, so never doubt His will in our lives. Good luck and God Bless.

Hello there Chantel and Jacob,

I'm glad everything is going well for you both and I hope you continue to have a happy marriage. This show has been such a blessing because I am getting married next month! I am 20 years old and my soon to be husband is 22 years old so people think we are too young to get married. We have been together for five years and feel as if we are already married! But I believe age doesn't matter, it's how much you love each other and wanting to make a life with each other. It is also important to keep God in the center of your marriage and to talk out your problems instead of yelling at each other. I love my fiance soo much and I know we are meant for each other and God brought us together for a reason. Again, God bless you both with a happy marriage and hope to hear more about you two soon!! :)

Hi, Just wanted to say congratulations. I'm 18 yrs. old and my husband is 20 yrs. old. We are seven months yup, married. :) I hope you are happy and hope you guys last forever. True about what everyone else says that we're too young to get married. But you know what.... we're not because true love happens no matter how old or young you are. We went through that. My husband's parents were very supporting from the beginning. We were happy that they believed in us. My parents weren't until later on. We've been through that. My parents my family were not happy. But not until later on until they started seeing us that WE ARE HAPPY AND IN LOVE. We are happier than ever We love each other so much. And i'm so happy that you guys are too. It shows when you really love a person. When you marry a person its because you love him or her and it's for life. And that is true. Again, May God Bless you all.

When I saw your episode, it made me think of me and my husband's wedding in a way. I got pregnant before we got married..We already planned on getting married even though. We were both 19 when we were married and we had alot of family up's and down's too. It always ends up just fine as I hope it did for you both. We are still together w/ one toddler and another on the way. it's been a good two years but also there have been very hard times! you always get through it, and GOD is the number one reason. You can't do it w/o him. I wish you the best of years to come. Congrats!!!

hey guys!
you two are soo cute and i'm so glad to hear how well marriage is going for you.
Anyways, I remember in the episode you claiming that you were saving yourself for marriage. I'm doing a project on virginity for school.. and I'm supposed to put media pressure into it. Well, because you fguys were in the media, i was just wondering what you believe 'saving yourself for marriage' is.. that way i can show your opinion in my project!
thank youu

I just wanted to say hi. I got married when I was 19 also, we just celebrated 4 years. Watching your episode reminded me so much of myself. There is such great joy that comes from following God's plan for your life and not the worlds. Halleljuah that He is so good to us huh? I have no doubt you will live a fulfilling life together so i don't want to say good luck, that is not what it takes. God bless you two. thank you for letting us be a part of your life and for being a great example of what a christian couple can be.(will you not publish this? i just wanted to give you a message, not the world. thanks)

My name is Lexi Kimes, and I just wanted you both to know your story is very comforting and inspiring for me and my fiance. He is 20 and I am about to be 18, and my family is not happy with our engagement at all. His mother loves me and has accepted me intoher family and home. I now live with the two of them, because just like with you, things got to difficult at home. I just hope I can have my fairy tale like you two and be just as happy.

First of all, Chantel, I LOVE your wedding dress. It was BEAUTIFUL! Seeing what you two have been through, it gave me the strength to believe in love though I am so ready to give up on it. Those bets on how long you two would last is very stupid. Marriage is a sacred thing. No one marries and plans to break up. I hope you two a good marriage.
